A copy of the does come with each compatible product you purchase. You can use just one to control all your compatible products.
Either drag out the object from your inventory to the ground in world or right click and select wear from your inventory to wear the controller as a HUD (see the Wearing as a HUD section for more information). Please now read the Using the iControl section for details on how to use.
When first worn or dragged to the ground the will quickly establish connection to any devices available. The default channel number that any new products or new controllers are set to is channel 0. If there are no products available on this channel for the controller to connect too you will see this screen:
If any devices are available on the same channel then you will see additional icons representing the devices along the bottom of the like in this example:
Clicking any icon along the bottom of the in the Product Selection panel, will take you to that products control page.
Clicking the "Refresh" button at the bottom of the iControl will take you back to the Channel Selection page.
When first rezzed in world the will also check the versions of your products to see if there are any updates that you do not have. If it finds a product you have out in world that is an outdated version it will state this in chat:

Please check your inventory or get a delivery from the TIS store, and replace any older versions you currently have in-world.
The buttons in the panel called Channel Power are pretty self explanatory, clicking the on button will switch any products on the current channel to on, and clicking the Off button will switch any products on the current channel to off.
This section is for more advanced user settings. You can use the product directly out of the box using the , but if you wish to have multiple units out on your sim with different settings you need to change channel communications.
All new products compatible with the will have a default channel of 0. This means that any new products placed out in world will listen on channel 0 via the Channel Selection panel. If you require have certain colours or be switched on or off whilst another product remains on, this can easily be achieved by assigning products to different channels.
To assign products to different channels you will only need to configure the product you wish to assign to a different channel. Each of the products that are compatible with the iControl, will have instructions on their web page on how to assign a different channel number. Once you have assigned a product to a different channel all you will need to do is click the channel number. When you do this, the product you assigned will appear for that channel in the Product Selection panel.
If by any chance the assigned product does not appear on your selected channel you can rescan for products. To do this you will only need to click the configuration button on the controller:
This will present you with a drop down:
- Rescan
- This will rescan for any products on the current selected channel
- List
- This will list in your chat window all products assigned to that channel. The list includes location links which will take you to the product on your sim/parcel.
You can wear the directly from your inventory instead of having the iControl out in world.
When first wearing the iControl directly from your inventory the HUD will appear at the top of your screen quite large. You can right click and edit the HUD and move it to where you would like the HUD to be positioned on your screen.
You can also resize the HUD manually. When in edit mode of the HUD (right click select edit), press Ctrl + Shift to stretch the HUD to your desired size.
Once you have positioned and resized the HUD to your desired preferences, come out of edit mode then click the side of the HUD to minimize it then click the side again to bring it back into focus. This saves the size and position.
Now when you unattach it and reattach it from your inventory it will be in the place you specified with the size you set.
If you ever need to move or resize the HUD again on your screen you must remember to minimize and then bring back into focus again for the changes to be made.
Please note that if any changes are made to the original HUD in your inventory when wearing it, the size will be replicated when it is dragged out in world.
In the contents of the that you place out on your sim or parcel (not the attachment) you will find a notecard called !!! Access !!!. This notecard will need to be adjusted before other people can control any products using that specific . By default the is set for use by owner only so therefore you must adjust the !!! Access !!! notecard BEFORE anyone else can use the controller or obtain a HUD for the controller.
If the !!! Access !!! notecard setting Allow HUD Control: is set to TRUE, you or anyone with permitted access can simply touch one of the edges of the controller to attach a copy of the controller to your screen. This is a temporary attachment and can be removed at any point by right clicking on the HUD on your screen and selecting Detach
. The controller HUD does not have any notecards contained in it as is basically a HUD to control the products on that controller in world.
If the !!! Access !!! notecard setting Allow Group Control: has been set to TRUE, anyone with the group tag activated that the iControl Professional has been rezzed under will be able to control the products.
If you make changes to the !!! Access !!! notecard, any active HUDs attached to permitted users will be deleted. This is intentional behaviour to preserve your security. Users will have to obtain a new HUD with the updated access settings.
The Channels: setting lists the channel numbers that are allowed to be controlled via this controller. For example you wish for channel 5 to not be controlled by this controller, you would just remove 5 from this list so it would read as this:

If the !!! Access !!! notecard is ever updated, on saving the notecard, the base unit will state in chat any changes made. The default is:

- On the Channel Control main page of the , press the configuration button in the top right hand corner
- In the dialog box that drops down the version number for the product you have can be found here where it states "Your Version: Version". Version is the version number of your current product.
