Thank you for your interest in the TIS Dance Machine!
Please scroll to the bottom of the page for the different versions you can purchase of the Fusion.
Main features
- The first and only HUD/Chimera to support couples and singles dances.
- Easily add your own dances.
- Supports unlimited dancers.
- Let your dancers choose their own dances via menus, or control dancers individually or as a group.
- Group dances into different categories, e.g. Male/Female/Romantic etc. up to a max of 10 categories.
- Allows you to dance couples dances on no-rez land via existing TIS Hybrid Dance Machine and Couples Dance Machines, or our free Poseball Server system.
- Fully customisable HUD
- Create Custom Sequences from your own animations
IMPORTANT - Couples Dancing Couples dances require that poseballs are rezzed in order to align the two dancers correctly. Normally this is not possible in clubs because most have a no rez policy on their land. The Fusion uses a Poseball Server System (included in the product box) consisting of a single prim which if placed by the land owner on the land will rez poseballs for your Fusion. If you wish to dance couples dances on no-rez land and there is no poseball server on the land, you will need to pass the land owner a poseball server for them to rez out. COUPLES DANCING IS NOT POSSIBLE IN NO REZ LAND WITHOUT A POSEBALL SERVER. (note that our Hybrid and Couples Dance Machines function as poseball servers, so you can already dance in clubs that have these products out.) Please ignore reviews left where people are complaining they cannot rez poseballs in no rez land as we have clearly stated how the system works.

- If you wish to rename or group animations into different menus, select Manage > Dances from the settings menu.
There are a number of methods of adding additional Animations to your Fusion. Please thoroughly read each section and familiarize yourself with each aspect.
When adding ANY animations to the Fusion you must unattach it and drag the Fusion from your inventory to the ground in world, you CANNOT add animations whilst it is attached to you. On dragging the Fusion to the ground this is what it will look like:
If you have purchased a Single Animation, simply do the following:
- Unattach your Fusion if you are wearing it, and from your inventory, drag it to the ground in world.
- Right click the Fusion and choose edit.
- In the edit window, select the content tab.
- In your inventory, find the folder that contains the single animation.
- Drag the animation in to the contents tab of the Fusion.
- Ensure the animation appears in the contents and the contents have finished refreshing.
- Once this is done you can take the Fusion back into your inventory.
- When you attach the Fusion it will say in chat:
TIS Fusion: Animation inventory changes detected - Retrieving Settings.
and the Fusion will automatically retrieve settings for the animations.
TIS Fusion: Settings for n singles dances received and menu constructed successfully. - Free memory: n bytes - If you wish to rename or group animations into different menus, select Manage > Dances from the settings menu.
If you have purchased a pack of Single Animations, simply do the following:
- Unattach your Fusion if you are wearing it, and from your inventory, drag it to the ground in world.
- Right click the Fusion and choose edit.
- In the edit window, select the content tab.
- In your inventory, find the folder that contains the pack of single animations.
- You can either drag each animation in one at a time to the contents tab of the Fusion or select multiple by clicking one animation then holding down CTRL and selecting the others. We recommend no more than 5 animations at a time be dragged across to minimize inventory loss.
- You do not have to drag any notecards that came with the pack of animations into the Fusion as the settings are obtained automatically and therefore do not require a settings notecard for the dances.
- Ensure the animation appears in the contents and the contents have finished refreshing.
- Once this is done you can take the Fusion back into your inventory.
- When you attach the Fusion it will say in chat
TIS Fusion: Animation inventory changes detected - Retrieving Settings.
and the Fusion will automatically retrieve settings for the animations.
TIS Fusion: Settings for n singles dances received and menu constructed successfully. - Free memory: n bytes - If you wish to rename or group animations into different menus, select Manage > Dances from the settings menu.

If you have purchased a Couples Animation which came in Poseballs that are Modifiable, simply do the following:
- Unattach your Fusion if you are wearing it, and from your inventory, drag it to the ground in world.
- Right click the poseballs and choose edit.
- In the edit window check 'Edit Linked Parts'
- Left Click on one of the poseballs so it is highlighted.
- In the edit window, select the content tab.
- Drag the script 'TIS Fusion Pose Ball Setup' from your inventory into the content tab of the edited poseball - A message will appear over the poseball indicating it is waiting for the other poseball script. The Fusion script will also say in chat:
Poseball Name: Now drop the TIS Fusion Pose Ball Setup script into the other pose ball. (child prim or Root prim - check 'Edit Linked Parts' to select it).
- Left click on the other poseball and drag another 'TIS Fusion Pose Ball Setup' script into its contents. The setup scripts will now work out the dance settings and send your dances to the dance machine. If successful the Fusion script will then say in chat:
Poseball Name: Locating Nearest Fusion
Poseball Name: Communication Established With Indicated Fusion. Attempting to identify dance settings. - Please accept the two permission requests!
Accept the two drop down permission requests.
Poseball Name: Dance Information Received - Transferring animations to your Fusion.
TIS Fusion: Inventory changes detected - Reattach your Fusion when finished to verify changes.
Poseball Name: Setup for dance poseballs dance name complete. Your animations have been transferred to the Fusion. Touch poseballs to remove setup scripts. - Please see the section below about new animations in SL.
- Once this is done you can take the Fusion back into your inventory.
- When you attach the Fusion it will say in chat:
TIS Fusion: Animation inventory changes detected - Retrieving Settings.
and the Fusion will automatically retrieve settings for the animations.
TIS Fusion: Settings for n couples dances received and menu constructed successfully. - Free memory: n bytes - If you wish to rename or group animations into different menus, select Manage > Dances from the settings menu.
- Click the poseballs to remove the script and the poseballs will say in chat "Returning poseballs to original state". You can then take the poseballs back into your inventory.
If you are the first person to add a particular dance to a couples dance machine anywhere in SL, the script will gather information about the dance by asking you to sit and stand from the poseballs. If this occurs simply follow the on screen instructions. Dance settings will be reviewed by our team and will normally be available within a few hours. You will receive an IM once this has been done.
If this procedure happens to you, please leave the poseballs out in world so that the script can periodically check for the settings to become available. You may take your Fusion back into your inventory during this time but the dance you have just attempted to load will not be available for use.
When the settings have been reviewed by our team, you will be notified by IM that the settings are available.
To load the animation into your Fusion when the settings are available, just drag the Fusion in world near the poseballs and click the poseballs. This will then force the animations to be transferred to your machine. Once this has been done you can take the poseballs and Fusion back into your inventory. The Fusion will now contain the animation for you to use.
Note it is very rare to encounter this scenario as only the first person to load a new couple's dance into a will see this setup procedure.
If you have purchased a Couples Animation which came in Poseballs that are Non Modifiable, simply do the following:
- Unattach your Fusion if you are wearing it, and from your inventory, drag it to the ground in world.
- Drag out the poseballs and right click the poseballs and choose edit.
- In the edit window check 'Edit Linked Parts'
- Left Click on one of the poseballs so it is highlighted.
- In the edit window, select the content tab.
- In the contents tab you will find one or more animations, drag these from the contents tab into a folder in your inventory. You do not require the "Waiting" animations that the creators put in the poseballs only the dance animations themselves. If you want to double check whether the animation is a waiting animation, just double click the animation, and select "Play in World" on the little box that appears on your screen.
- Left click on the other poseball and drag out the animations in there into the folder in your inventory. You do not require the "Waiting" animations that the creators put in the poseballs, only the dance animations themselves. If you want to double check whether the animation is a waiting animation, just double click the animation, and select "Play in World" on the little box that appears on your screen.
- Once complete, take the poseballs back into your inventory.
- Right click the Fusion and choose edit.
- Select the contents tab.
- Drag the animations you obtained from the poseballs into the contents tab of the Fusion.
- Once this is done you can take the Fusion back into your inventory.
- When you attach the Fusion it will say in chat:
TIS : Animation inventory changes detected - Retrieving Settings.
and the Fusion will automatically retrieve settings for the animations.
TIS : Settings for n couples dances received and menu constructed successfully. - Free memory: n bytes
If you wish to rename or group animations into different menus, select Manage > Dances from the settings menu.
In addition to using animations as their creator intended to dance couples and singles dances, the Fusion allows you to create custom singles and couples dances from the animations contained in it. For example you can stitch a number of singles dances together to make one extended dance, use part of a couples dance as a singles dance, or create a mirrored couples dance from one single dance.
To do this you simply need to create some new settings lines in your !!! Settings !!! notecard as follows:
To create a single dance from one half of a couples dance that can be played by clicking one menu item, create a line in your !!! Settings !!! notecard in the following format:
S•menu level•menu name•anim 1|length
Note: The maximum length of a line in a notecard in Second Life is 255 characters. If your custom dance creates a line longer than this you can simply move onto the next line starting with a •
For example:
S•My Dance•Will Ya•Dont Cha TIS-F|29.95
The above example creates a singles dance out of the female side of the couples dance Dont Cha on clicking the Will Ya menu item under the My Dance category.
Please Note: You will find that the machine will also show up the dance as a dance in error due to the fact that the other side of the dance is not present in the machine. This does not effect the functionality of the machine. The reason why we let this happen is because some people may want the actual couples dance in the machine but then have one half as a singles dance also. This error message is purely as a reminder that the dance is missing an animation. To remove this error message you can place the other side of the couples dance into the machine which will then remove the error and place the couples dance in the couples menu as well.
To create a sequence of single dances that can be played by clicking one menu item, create a line in your !!! Settings !!! notecard in the following format:
S•menu level•menu name•anim 1|length•anim 2|length•anim 3|length•anim 4|length
Note: The maximum length of a line in a notecard in Second Life is 255 characters. If your sequence creates a line longer than this you can simply move onto the next line starting with a •
For example:
S•General•Jumble•lime jelly|24•caramel|48•supreme animation groove|35
•TIS Wicked|28•Chicken|18.2•TIS Off Me Face|35.3
The above example creates a single sequenced animation from the Lime Jelly, Caramel, Groove, Wicked, Chicken and Off Me Face dances which will play in a loop on clicking the Jumble menu item under the General category.
To create a custom couples dance made up of one or more single animations, create a line in your !!! Settings !!! notecard in the following format:
C•menu level•menu name•male pos•male rot•female pos•female rot•male anim 1|female anim 1|length•male anim 2|female anim 2|length•male anim 3|female anim 3|length
Note: The maximum length of a line in a notecard in Second Life is 255 characters. If your custom couples dance creates a line longer than this you can simply move onto the next line starting with a •
For example:
C•Romanced•MyCouple•<0,0,-0.5>
•<0,0,0,1>
•<0.118,-0.321,-0.175>
•<0,0,0,1>
•single dance 1|single dance 1|15
•single dance 2|single dance 3|22
•single dance 4|single dance 4|13
The above example creates a custom couple animation called MyCouple in the Romanced category, using Single Dance 1 as a mirrored couples dance from one animation, and using single dance 2 and single dance 3 to create a couples dance from two separate single dances. Please note that only one set of positional information can be set per custom dance.
It is not currently possible to create sequences from two or more couple dances. This is because each couples dance has its own unique rotation and position settings, which would result in unnatural sliding from one position to another when transitioning between the dances in a sequence. If you have a number of couples dances that have the same rotation/position settings you could create a custom couples animation out of them (see above: Custom Couple Dances), however you should be aware that even though the rotation/position settings are the same, this does not mean the dancers will start/end in the same position on each dance and you should expect unnatural sliding to occur.
This button starts and stops you dancing your singles dances. When you press it for the first time you will either do the default dance or the dance you have previously selected in the My Dance section.
Please note, we recommend turning off any AO's you may have on your avatar as some AO's can cause unwanted results in how you see the animations.
This button starts and stops you dancing your Couples dances.
- When you select it, a set of poseballs will appear immediately to your left.
- Sit on one of the pose balls and have your dance partner sit on the other.
- Your partner will receive an animation permission request if not already granted.
- If the dance mode is set for Allow Menu (default), the menu will appear from which to choose your dance.
- Choose a dance and off you go!
- To bring up the menu at any time, click the Couples Dance Menu or type /1 menu.
- To resync your dance with your partner, either select ReSync from the menu or type /1 sync in chat.
- To adjust the height your avatar sits on the poseballs, use Page Up & Page Down on your keyboard.
Please note, we recommend turning off any AO's you may have on your avatar as some AO's can cause unwanted results in how you see the animations.
If you find that your Couples Dancing button looks like this:
it either means that you have not loaded any couples animations into the Fusion. Please see the Couples Loading section on how to do this.
If you have loaded couples animations into the Fusion and still see this, it means that the land you are currently on does not allow you to rez.
Upon clicking this button the Fusion will expand and present you with the settings menu. Please click the relevant item for full details of use:
Once you have loaded some dances into the Fusion you can select this item to change the default menus and names of the dances and also set up private menus. Also do this if you have loaded dances that do not appear in the menus.
Selecting the button will trigger a dialogue box. Select 'Go To Page' to open the web page.
The web page consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 tabs, depending on the animations you have in the Fusion.
This tab details the dances you have in the Fusion, and whether they are loaded successfully, awaiting settings, or unknown. There are also instructions with what to do in each case.
This tab contains a list of all couples dances in the Fusion, and the menu level and menu name of each dance. You can amend the name to whatever you like, and group the dances into different menu levels. For example the following setup would produce menus as shown:
Once you have amended the list to your liking, click the button to send the settings back to the Fusion. The screen will then switch to the summary screen and show a representation of a Second Life notecard. The contents of this should be copied into the !!! Settings!!! notecard in the contents of the dance machine in order to save your menu settings. Follow the instructions on the Summary page to do this.
This tab contains a list of all single animations in the Fusion, and the menu level and menu name of each one. You can amend the name to whatever you like, and group the dances into different menu levels exactly like those for couples dances.
If you see this tab then you have most likely purchased a newly created dance and its settings are awaiting verification by our team. Settings are typically available within 24 hours. Check back at regular intervals to load the settings to your Fusion. Note: you will need to visit the manage page or reset the Fusion in order to get settings as the Fusion will not automatically pole for them in order to reduce lag.
The Fusion has the ability to allow dances specifically selected to only be visible inside a "private menu" from the menu system. This means that only you the owner can view the dances, or if you have allowed certain friends to view it, they will be able to see the dances too.
To set a dance to only appear in the private menu you must prefix the menu group with a * (Asterisk). In the example below, the DJ who owns this Fusion wants his DJ animations visible only to himself and no one else. He also has another private menu called "Top Secret". You can name the groups whatever you wish as long as you prefix the start with a * (Asterisk).
Once you have done this, press the button at the bottom of the page to send the settings back to the Fusion.
As you can see from the picture below, the private menus are now set up:
On clicking this item in the menu you will be presented with a colour picker to select a colour for your text on the Fusion.
When you select a colour in each column the button background colour will change to the colour you have picked. This enables you to see which colour you have selected.
When you are happy with a colour, just click the tick mark.
To cancel out of this menu just select the button.
On clicking this item in the menu you will be presented with the brightness and contrast menu for your Fusion.
The column enables you to control the brightness of the text of your Fusion.
The column enables you to control the contrast of the background of the text of your Fusion.
On clicking this item in the menu you will be presented with the skin menu for your Fusion.
Clicking on either the Black or White skin will automatically change the Fusion to use that skin. You can also change the colour of the skin using the "Colour" menu item, clicking this will take you to another colour picker where you can select a specific colour for your Fusion.
The column is where you set the background transparency.
On clicking this item in the menu you will be presented with the Sound menu for your Fusion.
Select each item in turn to hear the sound for button presses in your Fusion. You can also adjust the volume using the column.
On clicking this item in the menu you will be redirected to this web page where you can easily view these instructions.
On clicking this item in the menu you will be presented with a button. On clicking this the Fusion will reset. If you experience any issues with your Fusion it is best to do a reset before contacting support, as sometimes a reset is all it needs!
This calibration menu allows the Fusion to be set up specifically for your PC screen size. You may need to do this if you resize your screen during a DJ performance etc. On clicking the button you will see the same screen as you did when you first attached the Fusion:
You must left click with your mouse button on each of the Red Crosses. Please make sure you only click each cross once, and be sure to actually click on the middle of each cross.
Upon clicking this button the Fusion will expand and present you with the Single Dance menu. Please click the relevant item for full details of use:
On clicking this item in the menu you will be presented with the dance menu.
This menu will differ from this picture as you will have your own dances contained within the Fusion.
The middle column is your Groups that you set in the Manage > Dances section in the Settings Menu. The right column is the dances that are contained in that group.
If you did not set any groups in the Manage > Dances section in the Settings Menu, you will see something like this:
On clicking this item in the menu you will be presented with the default dance menu.
This section is used to set how people are to use your Fusion.
- Allow Menu
- Setting the default dance to this allows everyone to select their own dance.
- Synchronised
- On clicking this you will be asked to set the dance or group of dances that you wish everyone to dance in sync.
- Un-synchronised

This attachment, when worn, allows people to click your pelvis in order to obtain the dance menu for your Fusion. By default the dance machine comes configured to allow up to 50 people (25 couples) to dance. The dance machine utilises a unique scripting technology that switches off unused scripts so they do not impact server resources, however you may wish to either add or remove dance slots to suit your requirements. This is easily accomplished by adding or removing the scripts named zz_Dance_Slot 1 to 100 from the machine. Note that a script is required for each person, so scripts should be added or removed in multiples of two.
The Fusion HUD enables you to connect to anyone who has a Fusion, as long as they have allowed access to their Fusion.

Second life can - and often does - lose inventory. Scripts provided to assist with loading of content have proved to be more reliable than manual inventory transfers, however you use them entirely at your own risk. None of our products contain any code that deletes inventory, and we cannot be held responsible for any loss of animations or other content from our products.
Please do not contact us to recover lost inventory, as we are powerless to do so. Instead please report the loss to Linden Labs and vote for improvements to Second Life's inventory system here.
